Is there a FAQ

I'm also interested in any white papers, books, etc for using the SQL server
engine for commerical purposes
I'd like to know about installation, configuration, etc, basically
everything one should think about when working a commercial application.

don't know if such a white paper exists at all...
your best source about SQL Server/MSDE is Books On Line, available at
http://www.microsoft.com/sql/techinf...2000/books.asp , updated at
current service pack, localized in different languages..
