Is Reporting Services 2000 compatible with SQL Server 2005?

Is Reporting Services 2000 compatible with SQL Server 2005?You can deploy RS 2000 reports to RS 2005 on SQL Server 2005. RS 2005 also
supports the RS 2000 web services (if your application was using that).
Now, if you want to install RS 2000 onto RS 2005 I don't know. First off,
why would you want to. If you have SQL 2005 go with RS 2005. It has lots of
new good features and in my experience is quite stable. Plus it is faster.

I think it was a "cost of licensing" issue more so than anything. I
think we will be upgrading to RS2005, but some ideas were being thrown
around and I didn't have the answer at the time, so I posted here.
